Cheers to the weekend and to year ONE!!!
I cannot believe this space has been a part of my life now for one entire year! Time just flies and this past year seems to have gone by extremely fast. I’ve been putting this post together for some time now in hopes to come up with the right words to adequately describe my feelings going into today. Thankful is the word that seems to be displayed on my heart and in my head. For so many reasons.
I can honestly say, when I started this journey one year ago today, I never thought it would be what it is. It has exceeded my expectations and a huge part of that is because of YOU! I have made new friendships, been challenged in ways I never thought possible, had many ups, a few downs, learned so much about myself as a person, have grown in community and most importantly, in faith. I have been so blessed to be able to do what I love and to share my family with you all and hopefully have inspired some cute outfits along the way.
There have been trying moments as with anything new, but looking back I would say they have been worth it. Meeting deadlines, being held accountable, all of the late hours of putting together outfits for shoots, try-on sessions, editing, writing and scheduling blog posts, sharing recipes, and just the day in, day out chat has been something I have enjoyed more than I can describe, even in the midst of a little anxiety every now and again. I didn’t think when I began one year ago that this would be as much work as it has been, but it has given me SO much! This tiny corner of the internet, and creative outlet for me has been such a blessing in getting me back to who I am and has inspired me to become so much more. The excitement of working for brands, being sent amazing products to try and meeting some of the sweetest humans in real life and through this community has been so special. You have all made such an impact as well. A simple like, sweet message, or sending me photos of something you have purchased is sincerely the reason why I am still here. Your support means the WORLD and I do a happy dance every time I see that you’ve bought something you’ve seen on my feed. 35 cents never made me so happy, y’all!! Truly, this space wouldn’t be what it is without you, and I am so thankful for your constant love, encouragement and support of Bluebonnets and Bowties. Being able to include our sweet little boy and soon to be baby girl in the mix of all things blogging has been so much fun and such an incredible experience and one that I cherish each day. It’s the icing on the cake for me.
I can’t wait to see what year two has in store and know that God is in control. One thing I hope to always keep priority is my relationship with the Lord and my family. I just pray that in whatever I do or wherever this journey leads, that it will glorify Him always and will be pleasing in His eyes. Jesus is the reason for my decision in starting this journey and He already knows what’s in store for our future. It gives me such great confidence and comfort knowing He is already there and also how he has been working in this space and on my heart through every little detail. My family has been the absolute best in supporting me and my crazy ideas! From impromptu photo shoots taken by my mom, husband and many others, to their kind words and unfailing support, I couldn’t be more grateful and hope they feel the love today and everyday that they have been by my side.
I also continue to pray that this is a space where I can continue to be myself, and strive to bless your life in some way. Whether its advice, a listening ear, family photo outfit ideas, or just in need of a friend that this space can be a resource for you. Need a new wardrobe or some Jesus talk, I am right here, sister!! 😉 So with further ado just know I am so thankful, feel incredibly blessed and am so excited to see where this fun creative space takes me and my little family! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!!
A special thank you to my friend Kimberly Correa for being an amazing photographer!
